University of Limerick Alumni Association Print E-mail

The University of Limerick Alumni Association (ULAA) is located on the first floor of the Students Union Building.  The ULAA is there to provide an active link between graduates of UL and their alma mater. On graduation a student automatically becomes a member of the Alumni Association.  The Alumni Association provide the opportunity for graduates of UL to stay in contact with the University along with any former classmates etc.

Another focus of ULAA is to represent the views, interests and opinions of those who have completed their education in UL and to provide a range of services and exclusive benefits including but not limited to the following:

  • Class reunions
  • An entrepreneurship service 'Alumni Start', in association with Shannon Development/National Technological Park offering a range of supports in terms of both finance and research.
  • A special Affinity Visa Card, in association with Bank of Ireland.
  • A newsletter entitled 'Alumni News', is issued bi-annually.
  • www.ul.ie/~alumni This is the Alumni website containing information regarding ULAA's services, upcoming events etc.
  • Chapter network, to-date, nine international.
  • Gift Collection, offering a broad range of unique UL-crested memorabilia/souvenir gift items on sale through O'Mahony's Bookshop on campus and via the website.
  • Car / Home Insurance Scheme offering preferential rates
  • Library and Sports-Facilities Privileges
  • VHI Healthcare
  • European Youth Card, offering discounted travel to younger graduates.

As such, ULAA provides key benefits and services to graduates of UL so they can keep in touch and reap the rewards of having attended the University of Limerick.
