Facilities on and around Campus

The University of Limerick currently has a population of nearly 12,000 and boasts retail outlets for on campus banking, purchasing food and stationary supplies, laundry, organising trips/travel etc.

ATM’s and Banking
There are four ATM’s on campus for student and staff convenience.  Two of these are located in the campus’s main bank, Ulster Bank in the Student Centre Courtyard.  There is an AIB ATM beside the Schroedinger Building and the fourth and final ATM is located in the Block B Canteen (The Red Raisin’s Canteen) in the Main Building next to the Jonathan Swift lecture theatre.

Books and Stationery
The campus bookshop is run by O'Mahonys Bookshop who own shops in various locations in the South West.  The bookshop has all books required by students for their courses.   It also stocks a variety of stationery, magazines, greeting cards and University Merchandise.  Newspapers are sold in the Bookstore at an extremely subsidised rate, for example, the Irish Times costs just 75 while the title price is €1.80.

Launderette
There is a launderette located in the Student Centre which provides cleaning and dry-cleaning services. The Launderette provides same day service for washing and drying of laundry and next day service for dry cleaning requirements.

Monday - Friday 09h00 - 17h00
(closed between 13h00 - 13h30)

There are also self-service launderettes located in Brookfield Hall which are open 24/7.

Restaurants

There are a wide variety of restaurants on Campus which offer very reasonable prices and a wide selection of food.  Details of these can be found in the Where to Eat section.

Shop

The University of Limerick Students' Union runs a foodstore (Spar) which is located in the Student Centre. The shop sells a variety of fruit and vegetables, frozen foods, dairy products, hygiene products and also has a deli section which offers sandwiches, rolls and hot food.

Student’s Union

USIT – Travel Agent
USIT provides travel bookings with special student rates.  The USIT office is located in the Student Centre and reduced rates are offered for students and under 25’s.  The rates offered by USIT for the rest of the campus community are also very competitive.   The USIT office offer a unique range of product specifically designed for students, for more information on these go to www.usit.ie

Contemplative Space
In the large courtyard area of the Student Centre there is a contempative space. This area is designed for quiet contemplation and prayer.

The contemplative space provides a place for worship for all the different faith communities in the University.  The space is also ideal for meditation.

Roman Catholic Mass: Mon-Fri 13:05
Prayers and Holy Communion are taking place every Tuesday at 12h30 in the Contemplative Space.

Church of Ireland:
Prayers or Holy Communion, Tuesdays at 12h30 in the Contemplative Space. All are welcome to attend.



On Campus Printing
On campus printing is offered by Snap printing in the Student Centre.  Snap printing will facilitate all your design, printing and photocopying needs at very competitive prices.
